Through the process of challenging ourselves to do hard things, we learn that we are stronger than we believed! We are loved by our Savior and by our Father in Heaven, and have been asked to do what seems impossible: to become like them. As we train for the race in June, we will set goals, and sometimes fail. We must keep trying in order to gain the physical stamina to accomplish this goal. The same is true in our spiritual journey. We set goals, we fail. Through the atonement of Christ, we can rely on the strength of the Lord to keep us on the path, and accomplish our ultimate goal of becoming like them.
"Let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith" (Hebrews 12:1-2).
